We aim to be as flexible and supportive as possible in both the recruitment for an onboarding of this position.ġ. The successful candidate may have the option to work remotely. This position will ideally be based in one of HRW’s major offices, with a preference for Berlin, Johannesburg, London, New York, and Washington D.C., and reports to the Multimedia Deputy Director based in London. This is a fixed-term, full-time position for one year (with the possibility of extension), with an anticipated start in July or August 2023. The Junior Producer/Editor, Audio-Visual should be video journalist able to edit and post-produce compelling stories which expose abuses, present solutions to advance rights, showcase activist partners worldwide, and persuade key audiences to embrace and value human rights. The Multimedia Division is where we craft our visual messaging and deliver it to our audiences in order to raise public awareness of the human rights violations HRW investigates and documents. We are roughly 500 people of 70-plus nationalities who work to protect the most at risk, from vulnerable minorities and civilians in wartime, to refugees and children in need.
